Dwight Yorke - linked with Hatters move.
The 34-year old striker has been linked with the move by the Sunday People, "after improving his fitness with Manchester United". Dwight has played for Aston Villa, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City in his career and is currently with Sydney FC in Australia. Dwight has scored 7 goals for Sydney in 21 appearances, according to the Sydney FC official website and will probably appear for Trinidad & Tobago in the World Cup alongside current Hatter Carlos Edwards.

With the exception of Steve Howard, Luton's strikers have struggled in front of goal this season. Vine has found the net 9 times, Feeney just 7, but both have been continually rotated by Newell after failing to impress, particularly with one-on-ones. A proven striker in front of goal such as Dwight Yorke may be the solution to the problem for Newell, on the other hand, we may only get one or two years out of him. Newell may instead look for a younger striker to partner Howard. His wages may also be too high for Luton. This piece of gossip is probably as convincing as the piece that said Feeney will be bought by Birmingham i.e. not really convincing at all.
