Tranmere Rovers Match Preview

Last updated : 22 December 2007 By Steve Moore
Luton take on Tranmere this afternoon looking to recover from a defeat by Cheltenham that was mainly due to the performance of Shane Higgs in the Cheltenham goal.

Jaroslaw Fojut and David Bell should be back from injury in time for today's game.

Chris Perry and Darren Currie also have minor niggles but neither of them should miss the game because of it.

There is a rumour that Kevin Blackwell might try playing two up with Paul Furlong and Calvin Andrew the strikers that will get the nod if so. This would allow David Edwards to move into his natural role in the centre of the Hatters midfield.

David has attracted two bids by Nottingham Forest that have been turned down, of £100k and £250k, so far.

For Tranmere, ex-Luton midfielder, Paul McLaren will be out for the game through suspension.

The game itself is in danger of not going ahead as the area of the pitch that is hidden from the sun for the majority of the day by the Family stand is relatively solid and frozen compared to the rest of the pitch. This leaves the game at risk.
