Vine: Pictured scoring yet another goal for Luton
The results show that Luton fans favoured Vine and Carlos Edwards considerably over all of the other nominated players. Vine edged out Carlos by 3%, with David Bell, who made his first appearances in the league for Luton in October, in third place. Marlon was fourth overall, a position not helped by his sending off on Saturday probably. Barnett was fifth, and Dean Morgan was last in sixth place, despite being one of our most dangerous players throughout the month.

Rowan Vine added to his impressive goals tally so far this season by scoring three times in October. He starred in the 3-2 win at home against Birmingham City with a penalty and another goal. He also scored a week later against Leeds United, and got an assist for David Bell's goal against Leeds as well, although he was probably going for goal himself rather than passing. At Everton, Hull and Ipswich, Luton and at home to Burnley and Vine failed to score, although he did have a goal controversially disallowed at Ipswich. Despite not scoring in these games, in which Luton's performances were poor, Vine did look one of the most threatening players up front. He has taken his new role as a goalscorer with relish, making up for the lack of goals that came from Parkin and Feeney in that time. Vine beat Carlos Edwards in the poll, even though Edwards was nominated as one of the candidates for Powerade Player of the Month, showing how Vine's popularity at Luton is growing.
