Team news for trip to Galpharm Stadium

Paul Underwood looks likely to miss the weekend’s trip to Huddersfield, with the left-winger still carrying a hamstring injury picked up at Colchester a fortnight ago. This means that Ahmet Brkovic is likely to continue to cover on the left wing, with Kevin Foley staying on the right wing and with Keith Keane at right back. Also missing out on the trip to the Galpharm Stadium is Aussie centre-back Chris Coyne. The consistent defender picked up his fifth yellow card of the season last week against Tranmere and will therefore serve his one match suspension on Saturday. He is likely to be replaced by Russell Perrett, although Alan Neilson could be a contender for a place.

The Hatters will be hoping to end this week on a high note. This week has seen us being linked to Warren Feeney and the week has also seen Sol Davis sign a new contract. However, Newell has also revealed that the club hasn’t got enough money to considerably improve the squad, and that we will have to settle for a loan signing. We are unlikely to have signed anyone by the time of the match at the Galpharm Stadium, but as long as the defence can cope with Pawel Abbott, Luke Beckett and Andy Booth up front, then we shouldn’t concede too many tomorrow. Last Saturday we didn’t create many clear cut chances, despite dominating the game, but the last three games have seen the Terriers concede ten goals, so as long as Howard gets the chances from the midfield and Vine, then hopefully we can score a few tomorrow. However, knowing our luck, Sodje and the rest of the Huddersfield defence will play a blinder tomorrow.
