Strong team expected despite injury worries

Marcus Heikkinen is expected to start alongside Chris Coyne in the centre of defence. Marcus lost out to Russell Perrett after picking up a groin injury against Wolves but came on as a substitute in the 88th minute against Sheffield Wednesday and appeared to have no problems. Heikkinen came on for Sol Davis who picked up a groin injury in that game, but Sol has apparently recovered from that injury and should start.

Steve Robinson is likely to start against his former club despite suffering from an injury in the past few weeks. A surprise inclusion could be Paul Underwood. Unders was expected to be out for six weeks after picking up an injury at QPR, but the midfielder has made good progress in his recovery.

Preston will be without key players Claude Davis and David Nugent because of suspension and injury respectively. However, Danny Dichio will play after having his recent red card rescinded. Graham Alexander will probably start against his former employers tonight, and ex-Port Vale striker Dave Hibbert, who scored twice against Luton for Vale last season, could feature.
