Similar team expected for Addicks match

Hutchinson: Cannot come on in the last minute again
Luton have the same injury problems as last Saturday. Strikers Sam Parkin and Paul Peschisolido are both out injured - Parkin still has his ankle problem and Peschisolido has a similar injury. Don Hutchinson missed out on his 2-minute appearance at the end of the match last Saturday because of a knee injury, and he had to sit in the executive boxes with all of the other Blackwell rejects. Keith Keane is also out with a leg problem. Last week in training, Luton backroom staff noticed Keane running strangely and decided not to risk him, although no one has told them that Keane always runs like that. One definite change to the team will be in goal. The unimpressive David Forde has returned to Cardiff City after a loan spell, so the previously 'injured' Dean Brill will return to the team, with no keeper on the bench yet again. Blackwell may take the opportunity to play a few squad players, such as Jaroslaw Fojut and Paul McVeigh, but probably not Brkovic.

Centre-back Sam Sodje definitely won't play for Charlton tonight due to him being cup-tied whilst with Reading. Apologies for getting this wrong earlier,
Sam Sodje
Sodje: Definitely won't play tonight
due to my source of information being unreliable. Promotion is the priority for Alan Pardew's team this season, so he is expected to rest a few players for tonight's match. Full-backs Danny Mills and Chris Powell are expected to be two players who will be rested, so French U-21 captain Yassin Moutaoukil should return at right-back. Svetoslav Todorov and Matthew Holland may also feature for the Addicks after a spell on the sidelines, whilst Darren Ambrose and Lloyd Sam are two first-team players who are expected to start. Charlton have won their last two matches, beating Norwich and Leicester at home, whilst the last away game saw them earn a 2-2 draw at Colchester. The Addicks haven't lost since August, and have only lost once this season. They have progressed to the Carling Cup Third Round after a win at Swindon in the First Round with goals from Darren Ambrose and Andy Reid, and then with a slightly fortuitous win over Stockport County in the Second Round. Goals in the first half from Svetoslav Todorov and Zheng Zhi looked to have ensured Charlton a safe passage into the Third Round. However, three goals in fifteen second-half minutes from Adam Proudlock, Anthony Elding and Dominic Blizzard put Stockport ahead with 20 minutes left. Lloyd Sam equalised with 15 minutes left, and Paddy McCarthy hit the winner in the last minute. This wasn't the first time Charlton have had a lucky escape in the Carling Cup Second Round against a team whose nickname is the Hatters as well. Luton fans may remember the team's trip to The Valley in 2003. Goals from Matthew Spring, Kevin Foley and Gary McSheffrey gave Luton a 3-2 lead into the last minute, but a Paolo Di Canio last minute goal saved Charlton. Both teams scored another in extra-time (Luton's coming from Chris Coyne), before Charlton won 8-7 on penalties, with Dean Kiely saving Coyne's penalty.

The referee is unfortunately Andy D'Urso, whose presence should at least get the crowd to start singing more, particulary some songs in honour of D'Urso.
