Luton end pre-season campaign with defeat

Trinidad & Tobago international Carlos Edwards scored the first goal of the match after just four minutes, but Barnet equalised before half-time and scored the winner in the second half. The match wraps up a relatively good pre-season campaign on a low note for Luton, although it should be emphasised that pre-season friendlies rarely have much effect on how the season will turn out. I seem to remember we had a brilliant pre-season the year we went down to Division 3, and a lacklustre pre-season when we won League One. Therefore, it is very unlikely that the summer matches will have much effect on the result on Saturday against Leicester City.
