Langley: First signing of season
Langley, 26, had been linked with Luton previously, and has now signed a two-year deal with Luton. Langley has made over 200 appearances in his career, mostly for QPR. Langley scored 19 goals for Rangers and 27 in his career, which has also seen him play for Cardiff City. He is a central midfielder who can also play on the right, which means he may face a battle for a first team place. Kevin Nicholls and Steve Robinson are currently the first team midfield at Kenilworth Road, and David Bell and Peter Holmes are currently the reserves. Langley may be coming in to take over from Robinson, who is 31. Langley has played once for Jamaica in 2004, despite being born in Harlesden.

Other news: Luton kicked off the pre-season campaign yesterday with a 4-0 victory over Hitchin Town. Kevin Nicholls, David Bell, Warren Feeney and Rowan Vine scored the goals. Two trialists featured, Sam Stockley and Lewis Emanuel
