Hutchison to leave in summer, who will follow?

The Don, who is 37 in May, has played 23 times for Luton this season, scoring one goal and only doing anything useful when playing in the centre of defence, and even then rarely doing anything useful. Hutch has also become renowned at Luton for being one of the laziest players on the pitch during the warm-up. He will probably go down as one of the worst signings that Blackwell has made for Luton, which is some achievement.

So with Hutchison going in the summer, the big question for Luton fans may well be, which deadwood will follow the Don out of the door? Two players that look like they are leaving in the summer are Chris Perry and David Bell. Both Perry and Bell have secured loan deals to Southampton and Leicester for the end of the season, as both teams look to avoid relegation to the Championship. Both Perry and Bell have another year on their contracts though, so if Leicester go down, they may not want to sign Bell, with possible money problems for the Foxes. There could be a problem with Chris Perry leaving as well, because once Southampton realise he's useless, they won't want to sign him regardless of whether they go up or down. So hopefully Perry will keep that quiet until the end of the season. Although Sheffield United could be interested in him once the transfer window opens.

Dean Morgan will also hopefully leave, although money problems could prevent him from leaving as well. Morgan is reported to be on around £5,000 a week at Luton, and sadly his contract doesn't expire yet. If the rumours are to be believed, Morgan wasn't prepared to move to Leeds for less money, so the chances of him moving to Crewe for less money can't be great either. Based on his performances at Luton this season, no one is going to offer £5,000 a week for him to play for their team, either. So although most Luton fans want him to leave to ease the burden on the wage bill, it may not happen.

Peschisolido is almost certain to go when his contract expires at the end of the year, and Darren Currie may also leave. Unfortunately, unlike Peschisolido, Currie has a two year deal, so again we are relying on someone wanting to take him off our hands rather than being able to release him for free. Again, judging by his performances, it is uncertain whether anyone would want to sign him, although there was apparent interest from Brighton earlier in the season.
