Howard likely to return in place of Feeney

The target man, who has scored 97 league goals for the club since joining, missed the Crewe match with flu but will probably return in place of Warren Feeney, who is likely to drop to the bench instead of Rowan Vine. Russell Perrett may also start in place of Leon Barnett after serving a one match suspension, but Newell may decide to start Leon instead. Chris Coyne could also return after an injury, but is unlikely to feature. Sol Davis will definitely be out.

Andy Johnson and Marco Reich are likely to miss tomorrow's match with injuries for Palace, but Tony Popovic is on course to make his first start of the season for the high-flying Eagles. Crystal Palace are currently 6th in the league, one place below the Hatters, and a win tomorrow would see them overtake us. Two ex-Hatters returning to Kenilworth Road with the Eagles are full-back Emmerson Boyce and manager Iain Dowie.
