Hatters MAD awards part 2

Last updated : 04 May 2005 By Peter Bulkeley
Best Signing: Warren Feeney (Marlon counts as last season, besides he's already won one award)
Best Luton Performance (as a team): Bristol City (H), bearing in mind that they have a fairly good team and we ripped them to shreds.
Best Opposing Team: Sheffield Wednesday: No offence intended for Hull or Tranmere, but Hull failed to perform at Kenilworth Road and I had my eyes shut for most of the away game. I only saw the home game against Tranmere and wasn't particularly impressed with either Tranmere or Luton that day.
Best Individual Opposing Player: Luke Beckett. Tore us apart both times he played against us for Huddersfield and Oldham.
Best Referee: Mr S Tanner (Wrexham Away) So good that we didn't notice him at all.
Most Entertaining Game: Bournemouth Away. Pretty end to end stuff at times.
Best Nigerian Striker: Enoch Showunmi
Best International Performance By A Luton Player: Kevin Foley, for any of his Ireland U21 games.
Worst Haircut: Paul Underwood
Worst Team: Peterborough. They were dreadful at their place, but we were even worse.
Worst Individual Player: Nick Barmby: I can only justify this on the two games I saw him play in, but he failed to live up to the high expectations placed on him.
Worst Referee: Tony Parkes (Bournemouth Away) Inconsistent in his decisions for both teams, and Perrett should never have been sent off.
Worst Game: Hull City (A) Dreadful
Worst Luton Player: Carl Emberson - I still haven't forgiven him for his past performances.
Most Convincing Replacement For Matthew Spring: Steve Robinson

There you have it - the conclusion of the awards. If the victorious players would like a prize for their award, then they can get stuffed. Their reward is Championship football next season - they're not getting any more.
