Derby team news

The Northern Ireland international put in a decent performance after coming on at half-time for Rowan Vine against Leicester. His performance somehow won him the man of the match award. His contribution was nonetheless impressive and Newell may favour him tomorrow. Another player who may return to action tomorrow is Steve Robinson. The 31-year old midfielder is thought to have recovered fully from a long-term injury and will probably replace Kevin Nicholls in the centre of midfield, who is sidelined for the season after picking up a ligament injury against Leicester. Paul Underwood will probably also miss out after an injury in the same game, so David Bell is likely to deputise. Marcus Heikkinen will possibly return tomorrow, although he may not yet be ready after suffering from tonsilitis. Chris Coyne will captain the side in Kevin Nicholls' absence.

Derby don't have as many injury problems as Luton. Kevin Lisbie and Richard Jackson should return to the squad after injury. There will also be an appearance for ex-Hatter Michael McIndoe. Personal problems forced the midfielder out of Kenilworth Road, but McIndoe has since got his career back on track with Yeovil and Doncaster, and he is at Derby on loan from Doncaster. There is also a return for ex-Hatters manager Terry Westley. Westley is currently caretaker manager after the Rams dismissed Phil Brown. Derby's form is currently average, with two wins in the last eight matches. They have gone three games unbeaten though. They are 19th in the league, six points behind Luton.
