A view from a Wednesday fan

How's the season going? The league table doesn't lie and, as we're bottom, clearly we've not had the best of starts. However, us Wednesdayites are confident we will survive this season. We haven't suffered any big defeats this season and the 1-0 victory over Leeds showed what this side is made of. With all but one of our key players almost fit we finally have our strongest squad for the first time since about Christmas last year!

What's your opinion on Paul Sturrock and the team? Paul Sturrock is a god in these parts and Plymouth fans can keep their hands off! He actually celebrates his one-year anniversary at Wednesday on Friday night and he has been a revelation. He took us from mid-table obscurity to playoff victory with a threadbare squad in the space of seven months. We just hope he has what it takes at this level. The main thing we're seeing from our side, which we haven't seen in recent years, is real desire. We may lack in quality but we make up for it in sheer determination. Having said that we could do with someone who can put the ball in the back of the net!

How do you think Luton and Sheffield Wednesday will fare this season? I have to say I thought we'd both struggle but just about cling on in this division. But after Luton's lightning start there's no reason why they can't attain a mid-table finish or even think about the playoffs. We know it will be a long, hard season but we are all 110% behind the team and convinced we will stay up...even if it is by a whisker!
