Midfield duo may return for Hatters

Nicholls has missed recent clashes against Norwich and Sheffield United due to a foot injury, whilst Steve Robinson's last match was a month ago in the 3-0 home victory over Preston North End, however he may have to settle for a place on the bench due thanks to the fine form that Peter Holmes has shown in recent weeks.

Left-back Sol Davis is definitely out of the match, meaning that Paul Underwood will continue in an unfamiliar role at left-back for him.

James O'Connor is likely to return for Burnley after successfully appealing against a red card shown to him against Millwall. John McGreal and Graham Branch will miss out for the Clarets. Burnley are currently lying 11th in the table and have won their previous two matches. They are currently 6 points off Luton in 4th.
