Davies wins accolade/New signing?

Curtis Davies has been named as the League One Player of the Year by the fans of League One, beating Juan Ugarte of Wrexham and Stuart Elliott of Elliott City. The 20 year old defender came from being an unknown property outside Luton last season to a centre-back with 'experts' such as Chris Kamara and Robbie Earle singing his praises. He has fitted in well with the excellent Chris Coyne in the centre of a defence which has been the main reason why Luton won the league this season.

He could be lining up with another promising defender from League One next season. Rumour has it that out of contract Wrexham defender Carlos Edwards will be joining Luton next season. The Trinidad and Tobago international has apparently rejected a new contract from bankrupt Wrexham and will join the Hatters on a three-year contract on the 1st of July.
