Bristol City preview - New signing could feature

Kevin Foley and Chris Coyne are both doubts for the home game against play-off hopefuls Bristol City after picking up injuries at Port Vale that saw them substituted. Both players are struggling with muscle injuries. Steve Robinson is out after having a groin operation yesterday and will remain out for a further month.

However, Paul Underwood could return after almost a month out, and new signing Danny Stevens could also feature. The teenager was signed from the Spurs youth academy and has impressed in the reserves this season. He is on a one month contract, and the only thing that I actually know about him is that he is small. The team tomorrow is likely to look like this:

Beresford

Foley(or Neilson) Davies Coyne (or Perrett) Davis

Brkovic Nicholls O'Leary or Stevens Underwood (if fit)

Vine Howard

This depends on where Stevens can actually play. If he can only play on the wing, then he will either be on the bench or he could move to the right and Brko could move to the centre. The only part of this line up that I can guarantee is the forward line and that Beresford will play in goal. Hopefully Howard will finally overtake Thorpe tomorrow, after two months. If Coyne is fit enough, then the threatening Bristol forward line of Leroy Lita and Steve Brooker will struggle to score, and if Underwood is fit then maybe Howard can rediscover his scoring form. I predict 2-0 to the Hatters, with Howard and Stevens scoring on his debut. Hopefully Danny will turn out to be another Rory Allen rather than another Ian Hillier!
